YouTube: "Bankless" Glyph Selling Guide - Three Chars, Zero Banks!

My search for a glyph selling system that works for me continues. After 1.5 hours in glyph posting purgatory I decided there had to be a better way.

What I wanted to eliminate: running back and forth to bank dozens of times managing expired glyphs.

This video goes over my solution: Three glyph sellers each with four 36-slot Royal Scribe Satchels (which I farmed all the leather for and many many Molten Front fire spiders died to help make). Read on for more details on the "bankless" glyph system.

What do you get when you're still trying to figure out what the hell you're doing to deal with hundreds and hundreds of expired glyphs? Apparently you spend 1.5 hours mucking about. Ugh!

On a side note, after making this I came up with a new idea about how to deal with this. Might share more in the future. For now, whatcha see is whatcha get!

About a month ago it occurred to me that if I had a list of every desirable 83-84 Mists of Pandaria armor and suffix in the game and was able to import that list into TradeSkillMaster that I would be able to greatly simplify not only the selling of items in my 83-84 market items but also make buying them easier.

My goal was to build such a set of master lists I could import into TradeSkillMaster groups. Once I had created a groups using this lists I could then build TSM shopping operations to search for the items and TSM Auctioning Operations to sell these items. All this with out ever having to spend time adding newly purchased items one by one into TSM groups by hand.

Read on past the jump for more info on how I create the lists and, more importantly, the lists themselves for you import into TradeSkillMaster and use yourself.

Now that TradeSkillMaster 2.0 is in Open Beta (!) I'm releasing a few short how-to videos to help everyone get adjusted.

It seems that a lot of people have been transferring or looking to transfer servers lately. When I asked why on twitter and Facebook the majority of the responses tended to fall into a few main categories including looking for a fresh start or wanting to "change things up" to add life back into the game.

Another common reason seemed to be a desire to leave a server where the player was having difficulty with making gold (often attributed to either a very high or very low server/faction population).

While I've been happy on the same server for the last 8 years (and have no desire to transfer) the reasons above are very valid. When Selltacular suggested writing a guide for gold-makers looking to transfer and I thought it was a great idea.

The following advice is for players looking at a server transfer as a way to improve their gold-making situation. Read on past the jump for more.

As we mentioned on The Power Word: Gold Podcast Episode 059 we've been exported data from the WoWuction.com Bargain Hunter Reports and importing it into temporary TradeSkillMaster shopping lists to quickly search for bargains.

Quick tip for moving lots of items from you bank to your bags and vice-versa. This works on guild as well as personal banks.

Download the BankStack addon. Once installed create and use the following macros with your bank open.

Automatically move items from your bags to the bank:

Automatically move items from the bank to your bags:

/fill bank bags


I use this to move my back-stocked 83-84 and 77-80 items into my bags to try to sell them after I've collected my successful auctions.

We had a request on the livestream to go over setting up TradeSkillMaster groups. Because this question comes up a lot we wanted to record it so that everyone could benefit from it.

Setting up TSM groups can feel complicated but it's worth the effort. Check out the video below.

We were lucky enough to have Faid (from Clockwork Riot) work along side us to update the TradeSkillMaster section of the guide and, while I'm not usually one to brag, the new TSM section turned out fantastic! Many of us love using _NPCScan to hunt rare spawns for fun and profit (Collidus the Warp Watcher anyone?). Problem is, once you find a rare spawn _NPCScan won't alert you if you see them again unless you delete your creaturecache.wdb file outside the game.

This short video goes over how to delete the proper file as well as a shortcut to make it faster the next time you need to delete it.

I finally decided to set up TradeSkillMaster (TSM) to post my transmogrification items. I've finally been able to settle into a pricing structure I'm comfortable automating and decided to do a livestream of the process. This is my first instructional livestream and, as is the nature of livestreams, it is interactive and unedited.

The livestream ended up taking around 1 hour but I think the knowledge to be gained from it will more than make up for the length. Special thanks to Faid, Gimp, Alto and all the other people who joined me in the chat room and helped me work out some kinks. You may have seen my first video about farming Lovely Charms in Throne of the Tides. Well, I'm back at it and in this video I show an alternative spot I am using to not only farm Lovely Charms but also make some nice extra gold by drinking a Potion of Treasure Finding and selling the items I get in Tiny Treasure Chests. While it isn't as fast as the Throne of the Tides spot it is much more lucrative from a guaranteed-gold perspective.

This farming spot is called "Fractured Front" and is in western Deepholm.  You will see large numbers of Troggs fighting Dwarfs and Golems. Those Troggs are your targets. The video is from my perspective as a hunter but this can be farmed by pretty much any class. The first place I learned about this spot was in the comments on our "Trash Dash" post.

In this 20 minute video I go over how to import our newly created Auctionator shopping lists that include pricing tiers by Keelhaul as well as how to use them to find and price mogging items you plan on flipping.
