Owing to current and upcoming real-life circumstances as well as a recent decline in my available World of Warcraft playtime I've decided to put Power Word: Gold into a sort of "Low Power" mode for now.

This means posting will be done on an "as needed" basis. When something strikes my fancy or I feel is important to the readership I'll post.

The podcast will also be done on an "as needed" basis. I won't be doing podcasts on a regular schedule but instead putting them together as needed.

I will still be reading other gold-making blogs as well as maintaining The World Of Warcraft Gold Blog Directory and the Community Gold-Making Milestones. If you have a gold-making blog with 6+ posts and want to be added to the Directory or have a gold-making milestone you'd like added please send me an email at [email protected].

I don't have any definite timeline on when Power Word: Gold may shift back into "Full Power" mode but when that time comes I'll be sure to let everyone know. Until then you'll still be hearing from me from time to time.

It's been an exciting and busy 4 months since the Power Word: Gold blog came into existence. I've met so many awesome people and learned so much.

Today however while we were recording this week's Podcast something was missing. I couldn't quite put my finger on it but something was just a bit "off". Rather than put out a sub-par podcast I decided to stop and think really hard about why we were having such an off day.

According to this new-fangled Analyst addon I've been using in the last seven days I've grossed around 27k with a net profit of just over 14k.

In this weeks recap I'll be going over what worked, what didn't and what's new. I'll talk about how the gem market is treating me, some unexpected cooking recipe sales and watching prices yo-yo.

A recent post over at Auction House Addict about patch 4.0.6 reminded me I wanted to make a quick post about what I am calling the "Murglesnout Gambit".

What You may ask is the "Murglenout Gambit"? And wth is a Murglesnout? Tthe Murglesnout is a fish that has been able to be fished up but had no corresponding cooking recipe. Up until this point the only real use for these has been a cheap food for certain hunter pets.

When I got wind that a new recipe was being added in 4.0.6 I started snapping these little guys up for a few silver a piece. I am hoping that when Murglesnout are able to be cooked into Scalding Murglesnout via the new Recipe: Scalding Murglesnout the price for these will go up.
