If you're a hunter farming herbs and ore in northern Highmountain (watch Faid's great video on this technique) you may find yourself casting your Water Strider pet's Surface Trot ability a lot. (This ability allows you to walk on water.)

Unfortunately Surface Trot can't be cast while you are on your mount. The macro I wrote below does two things: If you are mounted it dismounts you and it casts Surface Trot.

(While you can't drag hunter pet abilities to your bar you can write them into macros.)

The macro:

/dismount [mounted]
/cast Surface Trot

Now if you're a bit to antsy (like I often am) to get to the next node and you mount before you need to cast Surface Tror this macro will dismount you and cast the spell.

It's a little quality-of-life thing but if you're casting Surface Trot a lot it helps.

As you may have read in my previous post (Can You Make Gold At Low Levels? My Results From Level 1-49) I've been leveling a Warrior from level 1 to 60 in as close a "Vanilla" style as possible. Today I finally finished leveling her to 60 and I wanted to share a few additional thoughts on the process.

In preparation for the launch of Legion I've been working on a project to build the character I'm planning to give my free level 100 boost to.

I already have 14 level 100s so it wasn't necessarily an easy choice as to who to give the boost to. I already have a level 100 of every class and an extra 100 Hunter, Paladin, and Warlock (invasion XP was too much to resist leveling a few extra 90s I had laying around).

I settled on making a human female Warrior and leveling her to 60 and giving her professions so that when she was boosted to level 100 her professions would be leveled up automatically as well.

Sometimes I like to give my characters unique constraints (remember my "One Month, One Toon" Challenge?). For this Warrior I decided to level her "old school"-style. No Heirlooms, no mount until level 40, and no addons. As a fun side-project I wanted to know how much gold could a character like this make. Read on for more.

The Gold Queen has a good guide to farming the Pocket Fel Spreader. It had instructions on adding map points for the Doomsayers using the addon TomTom.

I liked the guide but adding the waypoints involved either adding one by one or making multiple macros.

Paste Addon To The Rescue

I found an addon called Paste that allows you to add all the coordinates in one shot.




In order to add all the way points to TomTom using Paste you have to have TomTom and Paste installed and then open Paste via the Minimap Button or /paste.

Once open copy the coordinate text for your city below, paste it into Paste, and click "Paste". This will add all the waypoints to TomTom.

I think we all knew that this spot would be nerfed. It wasn't really a question of "if" it would be nerfed but "when".

Redditor beepbeep75 posted the news on /r/WoWGoldMaking. I've since been there myself and can confirm the nerf.

Beepbeep75 wrote:

"Today I went to Zhu's watch and the mobs in the phased out part of the Zhu's Despair quest gave only 200xp and they are no longer lootable, they just die and lie there."

While I am a bit sad to see this spot get nerfed it's not much of a surprise.

Also, as much as I'd like to take credit for publicizing the area (and therefore getting it nerfed) it is much more likely that it was was all the players and bots that likely farmed the spot non-stop that ultimately got Blizzard's attention.

Easy come. Easy go.

While it doesn't end until January 2nd, today is a big day in the Feast of Winter Veil. Today is the day we get finally get to open our presents! Many players will be hitting up Father Winter to get presents and do his quests. One quest requires 5 Small Eggs to make 5 Gingerbread Cookies.

If you are like me and farm dungeons you probably realized that even if you run into a dungeon with some fancy Netherweave Bags, or Embersilk bags, that it is inevitable that you are going to run out of bag space sooner or later, fly back or hearthstone back to a vendor to sell all your junk items, put stuff in your bank. So the story begins with me. At the time I was a lvl 88 protection pally needing to get some Netherweave.
