A livestream viewer pointed me to a rather interesting 5.3 PTR patch note that I think is significant to the 77-80 Cataclysm item arket.

In 5.3 the are planning on adding vendors that will sell level 80 gear in the Cataclysm starting zones. Read on past the jump for the details.

Today we have a quick gold-making tip for any Blacksmiths who are looking for a way to squeeze a bit more gold out of there profession. (This tip was also mentioned on Episode 58 of the Power Word: Gold Podcast.)

I've been making and selling the Hardened Obsidium Set (level 80 plate tanking items) since Cataclysm and to this day it still sells very well. I sell the items for right around 395g each and they often sell out quickly.

In Mists of Pandaria I've noticed that ore and bar prices for the Obsidium and Elementium used to craft these has gone up so keep an eye on the auction house for cheap ore or mine it yourself.

I've been asked many times for shopping lists/item lists for the 77-80 Cataclysm Items I flip. The truth is, due to the number of items involved, it is easier to tell people which items to avoid rather than which to buy. Read on past the jump to learn how to identify the "stinkers".

With Blizzard announcing a new Scroll of Resurrection (SoR) promotion that gives people (nearly) free and instant level 80s there should be a small window of opportunity for us to sell these new level 80s level 77-80 Cataclysm greens. The default gear for the new level 80s is iLevel 232. Cataclysm greens start at iLevel 272 which is a big upgrade.

If the are being played by players like myself the first thing they are going to do is hit the AH and look for Cataclysm greens to replace much of their pre-made gear. Read on past the jump for a few quick tools to help in your search.
