Just a quick note to let everyone know that the moderators of /r/wow have asked Faid, PhatLewtsGold and myself to answer gold-making questions in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) in the /r/wow subreddit tonight at 6PM EDT (UTC - 4 hours). That is roughly 3 hours from the time of this post.

Read the announcement post to find out more about it, keep your eyes open for the AMA post at 6pm in /r/wow and come ask all of your own gold-making questions. I'm not sure how long we will answer questions but if I know the others it will likely be a decent amount of time.

Today's question comes from Ed who wants to know about what's involved in using a guild for storage purposes.

Hi Jim, 

Recently I've been buying up some cheap (<20g) 83-84 greens for when that market becomes viable (for certain plate items it's happening already).  All of these items were dumped onto my bank alt - and inevitably he no longer has room for anything in his bags or bank.  I am thinking about starting a guild just for the bank space, but am not sure what is involved and what the pitfalls are.  I guess it's worth it, seeing as every gold blogger seems to take it for granted that everyone has a guild bank.  Here are a few issues I'm hazy on and would like your input in.

No one likes to lose all their hard work due to addons going haywire or other unfortunate events. We've been getting a lot of reports from reader and livestream viewers of TradeSkillMaster losing/destroying their carefully built TSM settings, groups, etc.

This video explains how to find your TradeSkillMaster setting files as well as how to backup and restore them if needed. The information on where to find these files was taken from the FAQ over at TradeSkillMaster.com.

While we all know we should backup our data, we often procrastinate. I've been trying to make a habit of using the TSM Application to backup my TSM files before I launch the Curse Client to update my addons.

I made this Living Steel price calculator for myself but at the request of the livestream viewers I've made a version available for downloading/copying for everyone to use. Yay!

I use this daily to calculate which method is the cheapest for making Living Steel (Ghost Iron Ore v. Tillium smelting, etc). Read on past the jump for instructions on how to download/copy it for your own use.

Every once in a while you run across something so awesome that you just have to share it. I came across this illustrated guide to the Tiller faction reputation on the /r/wow subreddit and had to share it.

Seems I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it. It was by far the most retweeted tweet we've ever put out. So that this knowledge (and awesome artwork) aren't lost I thought I would be sure to post it here so that myself and others can always have it handy.

The illustration was made by "Nessa" for the redditor Zephyrion who stated when posting it "Told my friend I didn't understand the Tillers. A couple hours later she sent me this.". Head past the jump for the full illustrated guide.

I'll bet many players (myself included) are feeling just a bit overwhelmed since the launch of Mists of Pandaria. Whereas in Cataclysm I felt like a master of the universe, in Mists I'm feeling like quite the noob.

Why is this? For one thing I think Blizzard packed much more content into this expansion than any of us were expecting. On top of that, we have all these characters and professions to level. All these new areas to explore. All of these new gold-making techniques to work out.

So how do we deal with the overwhelming-ness of it all? Head past the jump for a few of my own ideas about the topic of how to adjust to Pandaria.
