As I have been struggling to sell mogging items on my server, all the while watching other prominent gold-makers raking in (what seems to be) tons of gold selling mogging items, a theory started to slowly develop in the back of my mind.

Today I present this theory, refined over many many livestreams,  to everyone today. I call it the "Three 'B's" theory and it very well could be the answer to why you have been seeing lower than expected results selling mogging items on your server. Read about the "Three 'B's" past the jump.

So I am officially on my last day of my "One Month, One Toon" Challenge. In just over 12 hours I will be able to finally start playing my other characters! If you've been watching my livestreams (twitch.tv/jimyounkin) over the last month you know that there have been times where I've chaffed under the Challenge's restrictions of only playing one character for an entire month.

After the jump I talk a bit about what I've learned from the challenge, some unexpected side-effects. What I hated most. What I loved most. What I did (and didn't) get accomplished and more this last month.

I've decided that I would be best if I turned the heat down on some of the things I've had cooking at a roaring boil for the last 6 months or so here at Power Word: Gold. "Real-life" concerns as well as I general feeling of "working hard and not getting anywhere" have lead me to the conclusion that it's time to refactor and refocus.

If you've been a long-time reader/follower of Power Word: Gold you'll know that I have entered these "low power" modes before. For the most part, they are a way for me to relax and re-evaluate all the things I ve been doing as far as Power Word: Gold goes. In this case I have some real "real life" things that have, sadly, been neglected in my push to make Power Word: Gold into a real business. With Blizzard announcing a new Scroll of Resurrection (SoR) promotion that gives people (nearly) free and instant level 80s there should be a small window of opportunity for us to sell these new level 80s level 77-80 Cataclysm greens. The default gear for the new level 80s is iLevel 232. Cataclysm greens start at iLevel 272 which is a big upgrade.

If the are being played by players like myself the first thing they are going to do is hit the AH and look for Cataclysm greens to replace much of their pre-made gear. Read on past the jump for a few quick tools to help in your search.
