The Fastest Way To Farm Lovely Charms - Throne of Tides



In this video I show how I get to the fastest Lovely Charm farming spot I've found yet in Regular Throne of the Tides. I had April help me kill the first boss but some classes may be able to solo the first boss. If you can't, than be sure to bring along a buddy. I've also read that this spot can be used for farming your 250 Grizzly Trophies for Darkmoon Faire quest.

I originally heard about this spot in this reddit comment while looking for ways to quickly farm up the 2700 Lovely Charms I'd need in order to quickly get my Swift Lovebird BOE mount. I didn't want to have to wait to do the dailies every day to get the Love Tokens.  Read on past the jump for more.

I am planning to try and sell it at first and if it doesn't sell keep for myself. Faid has reported a Swift Lovebird selling for 100k on her server (although she stated she didn't think it was a usual sale) and April has let me know that someone is trying to sell the mount on our server right now for 60k.

  1. This is definitely something I'd check the AH both sides first to see if anyone else has farmed one up and if not stay up TONIGHT and try to Trade Chat spam it away. AH it just isn't going to move fast enough before others start the undercuts.

    On most High pop servers (and some Medium actually) there are already 10+ of these things up for as low as 15k. You'll have to beat the rush as your server catches up, I give it 2 days tops and every decently popped server will have a dozen of these rotting at or just above 10k which isn't worth a full day of multi-shotting water adds for most 'goldmakers' I'd assume, though if it dips low enough you can snatch to store for later.

    And that really is the problem..There is no barrier of entry. Any Joe-Anybody that has more time than they do gold-making sense can bang one of these out in a day and join an undercutting war that is bound to happen, where they will likely be OVERJOYED by the ..probably not even 10k.. they get for the mount.

  2. I wonder how long it took you to farm all the 2700 charms in there ?

    1. I've had pretty solid reports backed up by personal experience that says around 3 hours of straight farming will get you the 2700 charms.

  3. Check on your info on buddy farming. My friend told me that he thought that it would take twice as long. As he saw it though the drop rate is not affected since you're not looting them, the charms are randomly created as you kill lvl appropriate mobs. So he and his friend got tokens sometimes on the same mob kill, and mobs count to both since they are grouped. They believe their overall drop rate was identical for each one even though they where doing it together.

    1. This is good news since I had assumed it would make it take twice as long. If the Charms are created per player than that might break up some of the monotony a bit.
